ORLANDO, Fla. (May 15, 2014) — BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. has named Michelin North America Inc. a “Vendor of the Year” for outstanding achievement throughout the past year.
Michelin earned BJ’s “Best in Class” award, which the wholesale club said is for all-around support of BJ’s, including training team members on products, cooperation on merchandising, etc.
“As a company, we’re thrilled to be able to acknowledge those vendors who have exceeded our expectations,” said Christina Neppl, executive vice president of merchandising/logistics at BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Our vendor partners give us the opportunity to bring quality products at incredibly low prices into our clubs to our millions of members.”
BJ’s features Michelin-, BF Goodrich- and Uniroyal-brand tires at its more than 200 warehouse club locations in 15 states throughout the eastern U.S. Michelin even maintains the landing page for tires on BJ’s website.
The awards were presented at BJ’s annual Team Member Conference held in April in Orlando.
