BOWIE, Md. (May 6, 2014) — Stephen Heaps has joined the Tire Industry Association (TIA) as its new training and certification coordinator.

In his new job, Mr. Heaps will handle the grading of tests, certification and recertification tracking, support services and other tasks associated with TIA training programs, TIA said. He will report to Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training.

Most recently, Mr. Heaps worked as a warehouse and shipping associate in the plastics industry in Southern California. Before that, he was a shipping and receiving supervisor at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Mr. Heaps recently completed his TIA Commercial Tire Service Instructor certification, and will take the Certified Automotive Tire Service course in late May 2014, TIA said.
