LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 16, 2014) — Employees at Performance Plus Tire & Auto Superstore are gearing up for one of three “locally world famous” vintage vehicle events it hosts each year.
The evening of Saturday, May 17, the Long Beach-based dealership’s huge lot — and one next door — will be transformed for its annual spring BBQ and cruise night.
The shows “attract all eras of vintage vehicles and are always a crowd pleaser,” Performance Plus said. The family-friendly event also will feature live entertainment, a free BBQ and other activities.
All funds raised at the company’s cruise night events support its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Last fall volunteers at the dealership packed more than 1,700 boxes of food that fed more than 850 local needy families, according to Joyce Feldman, vice president of marketing/events.
Do so-called “Religious Freedom” laws in place in some states impact how companies do business, and do you support them?
