Yokohama promotes Funkhouser

Dan Funkhouser Yokohama Tire Corp.

FULLERTON, Calif. (March 25, 2014) — Yokohama Tire Corp. has promoted Dan Funkhouser to director of commercial dealer business.

In the post, he will be responsible for all commercial dealer and associated national account business.

Mr. Funkhouser most recently held the position of commercial zone manager, Yokohama said. He joined Yokohama in 1994 as a district sales representative in Minnesota and was then promoted to national account manager in 1998 before becoming corporate manager of national accounts in 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Central Michigan University.

“Dan Funkhouser has more than 25 years of experience in the tire business,” said Rick Phillips, Yokohama senior director, commercial and OTR sales.

“He has earned the strong respect of the industry, our commercial customers and his colleagues here at Yokohama. His role is instrumental in our ongoing journey to assure the commercial division is positioned for strategic growth and continued success in the future.”
