TWI hires Barney to focus on expansions

CORONA, Calif. (March 5, 2014) — Tire distributor Tire’s Warehouse Inc. (TWI) has hired Ray Barney for the newly created position of director, business development.

Mr. Barney, who previously managed sales in the western half of the U.S. for Zafco International Inc., will focus primarily on TWI’s expansions into new markets, according to the company.

Mr. Barney began his career with Michelin North America Inc. as a regional manager in California and eventually became the president of Competition Parts Warehouse. He also owned a retail tire dealership.

“Ray is the latest addition to our management team and a strategic step in our growth plans.” said Dan King, TWI president. “His extensive leadership experience in opening new branches will be instrumental in the success of our long term plans.”
