DURAND, Wis. (Jan. 28, 2014) — Bauer Built Inc. promoted Mike Weber to vice president of operations and manufacturing, effective Jan. 6.
Mr. Weber began his career with Bauer Built in June 1994, the company said, in its vehicle maintenance shop in Durand. He has been director of manufacturing since June 2012, overseeing seven retread manufacturing facilities and four wheel-refinishing operations.
As vice president of operations and manufacturing, Mr. Weber will have added responsibility for store operations, the dealership said, where he will focus on processes and technologies.
"Adding operations to Mike's responsibilities will help support Bauer Built's aggressive growth plans both short-and long-term," said Tad Bauer, president.
"This is part of our ongoing restructuring and investment where we will add over 50 employees in 2014 to drive growth and improve our market coverage and enhance the already high level of service we provide to our customers."
During Mr. Weber's 20 years with Bauer Built he has spent time in the service, general service/delivery and sales areas at stores in Durand and Eau Claire in his first few years, the dealership said.
Mr. Weber transferred to the Waukesha Tire Center in January 2001 as the manager trainee and became the assistant manager in January 2002. He was promoted to store manager at the Waukesha Tire Center in January 2004.
