FULLERTON, Calif. (Jan. 21, 2014) — Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) is tapping social media for its latest contest, one that offers both free Advan performance tires and cash prizes in exchange for consumers' passion about automobiles.
Yokohama's #RidePride Facebook contest invites consumers to submit photos of their vehicles to Yokohama's #RidePride Facebook page and share what they love about the driving experience.
"There are some great cars on the road that consumers spend a lot of time and money modifying. #RidePride will provide them with well-deserved recognition," said Andrew Briggs, Yokohama director, marketing and product planning.
The contest, which runs through March 2, also gives participants the opportunity to trade up to tires designed to improve the driving experience, like Yokohama's ultra high-performance Advan Neova AD08 R and Advan Sport V105, YTC said.
Visitors to the tire maker's Facebook page are asked to vote for their favorites. The person with the most votes each week will be awarded a set of Yokohama tires. The grand prize, second prize and third prize winners get tiered cash prizes. Additionally, the grand prize winner wins a photo shoot with their vehicle shot by a professional automotive photographer. All three will also win a set of tires.
Yokohama said all voters and contestants will automatically be entered to win other prizes, including tires and Yokohama merchandise.
