MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Jan. 10, 2014) — Del-Nat Tire Corp. has named Lyle Symonds, vice president of marketing.
Mr. Symonds is a 38-year veteran of the tire industry, coming to Memphis-based Del-Nat from Carroll Tire in Lansdale, Pa., where he served as president for the past five years, running 44 wholesale warehouses across the country, Del-Nat said.
He previously served as president of Treadways Corp., after holding several positions with Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. and its General tire brand, including director of sales, group accounts, as well as national manager of training.
“Lyle’s experience working with private brand tire manufacturers in new product development will play a key role in our strategic marketing efforts, particularly in product sourcing,” said Jim Mayfield, president of Del-Nat.
Mr. Symonds grew up in Lima, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics and computer science from The Ohio State University. He also holds an executive degree from Stanford University.
