OWATONNA, Minn. (Jan. 7, 2014) — Federated Mutual Insurance Co., the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) endorsed liability insurance provider, will host a designated risk manager seminar April 28-30 for tire dealers at its Owatonna headquarters.
The seminar is designed for tire dealership owners and key employees who are responsible for implementing risk management strategies, and will focus on risk management concerns specific to tire dealers and auto service providers, TIA said.
Among the agenda items will be distracted driving; hiring, screening and retaining employees; claims handling; implementing and maintaining a drug- and alcohol-free workplace; and major loss areas in the tire industry.
The seminar is free to TIA members, but all attendees are responsible for travel, lodging and meal costs. Space is limited to 25 persons, TIA said.
