BETHESDA, Md. (Oct. 28, 2013) — The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association's (AAIA) latest Affordable Care Act (ACA) webinar is scheduled for 11 a.m. EST Nov. 20.
The free, 30-minute, members-only webinar — fourth in a series of five — will concentrate on employer and individual mandates under the ACA, as well as the financial impact of penalties and fees.
As with the association's three previous seminars, the presenter will be Anita Baker, managing principal-employee benefit plans at CliftonLarsonAllen L.L.P.
Almost all individuals in the U.S. are required to obtain at least minimum healthcare coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2014, under the ACA. Employers with 50 or more full-time employees will be assessed shared responsibility penalties beginning Jan. 1, 2015, if full-time employees qualify for an ACA subsidy and purchase insurance in the state or federal marketplace.
