RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Oct. 25, 2013) — The International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) has awarded Falken Tire Corp. two Gold Davey Awards for print and commercial advertising.
Falken said the Davey Awards are presented for outstanding work in a variety of visual fields. The company won a Gold award for Design/Print: Consumer Newspaper/Magazine Ad for its "FJ Splash" with the caption "Conquer Your Terrain." The second gold was for commercials: Automotive, distinguishing Falken's spot called "From Racetrack to Street" featuring Team Falken's American Le Mans-winning Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
"This is an extremely gratifying recognition of the great creative work that our Falken marketing team is doing on behalf of our dealer partners and our customers," said Andrew Hoit, Falken's vice president of marketing.
"We pride ourselves on distinguishing the Falken brand from our competitors, and we thank the International Academy of Visual Arts for these two awards."
Linda Day, executive director at IAVA said this year's awards winners "truly represent the best small firms worldwide," and the work entered this year "embodies a smart, tactful approach to creativity and highlights the capabilities and forward thinking mindset that makes small agencies so unique."
