RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2013) — For the fourth consecutive season, Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. is returning as the "Official Tire" of the Los Angeles Lakers.
"Partnering with a global brand like the Los Angeles Lakers with a massive worldwide fan base has proven to be a huge success for Kumho Tire, increasing brand awareness and familiarity among consumers," the tire maker said.
Kumho will maintain its signage presence at Lakers home games, with courtside scorer's table signage, a highly visible lower ring position on the main scoreboard and LED ribbon signage around the upper fascia inside Staples Center. The company also will have increased visibility on what it called the NBA's most visited team website, Lakers.com, via prominently displayed Web banners.
In conjunction with its sponsorship, Kumho said in the spring of 2014 there will be a consumer meet-and-greet event at a local tire dealership with a Lakers player and two Laker Girls.
