FAIRLAWN, Ohio (Sept. 19, 2013) — Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. has hired industry veteran Bob Tate to be Midwest sales manager for its North American agricultural and forestry tires unit, effective this month.
Mr. Tate most recently worked for Portland, Ore.-based Northwest Tire Factory as its director of sales and marketing, and he has served in sales and marketing roles with Michelin North America Inc.'s TCI Tire Centers subsidiary, Bridgestone Bandag, Procter & Gamble Co. and Chiquita Brands International Inc.
"With the addition of Bob, dealers can continue to expect excellent service and sales support from Trelleborg in the Midwest," said Jeff Jankowski, sales director, Agricultural and Forestry Tires.
"Bob will help our customers capture more of the growing demand for tires with innovative features. These include inter-lug terracing that provides better tire self cleaning and a wider footprint to minimize soil compaction without sacrificing traction."
